Supporting Wellbeing in the Workplace
Prisca Bradley of Bradley Employment Consulting set up Work Well For Life in 2021 as a result of her interest in all things wellbeing arising from her practice as an employment lawyer.
We believe in supporting organisations that wish to invest in wellbeing initiatives and wider strategies to provide an inspiring and supportive working environment for their staff.
We have created a toolkit for businesses including training, support and advice to help organisations of all sizes address the increasing need for employee wellbeing initiatives.
All organisations and their employees benefit from a structured and planned approach to health and wellbeing so as to avoid the risks of failing to support people when needed
There are huge costs associated with high turnover, reduced productivity, absenteeism and complaints of bullying and discrimination when wellbeing measures are not considered. Apart from it being the right thing to do, a focus on wellbeing assists with the promotion of a positive workplace culture, increases inclusion and diversity, and demonstrates corporate and social responsibility.
Focussing on wellness will lead to awareness and improvement. Even adopting one or two of the ideas or practices can make a significant change.
Everything we feel and do relates to our wellbeing and directly affects our actions. In order to reduce some of the negative impacts of stress, we need to allow space and time in the present moment to achieve a better balance.
To work towards optimal wellness, we need to be active in our daily commitment to it.
You can apply a wellness approach towards your environment, community, career, belief systems, physical activities, self care, healthy eating, self-esteem, and creative activities.
